Evan M. Cornett, PhD - PI

Evan joined the faculty at the Indiana University School of Medicine as an assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular biology in August 2019. Evan completed his postdoctoral training with Dr. Scott Rothbart at the Van Andel Institute and his graduate work with Dr. Dmitry Kolpashchikov at the University of Central Florida. Evan and his wife Lindsey have three young children. Outside of the lab he enjoys spending time with his family, watching college football, playing soccer, and woodworking.

Christine Berryhill - PhD Student

Christine joined Indiana University School of Medicine as a PhD student in the Fall of 2019 and the Department of Biochemistry in 2020. She earned her BS in Biochemistry from Hillsdale College in 2019. She’s excited to research the role of lysine methylation in cell signaling in the Cornett lab! In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and their young son, reading, and baking.

Jocelyne Hanquier, MS - PhD Student

Jocelyne joined the Cornett lab as a PhD student in the Medical Neuroscience Department at the Indiana University School of Medicine in the summer of 2020. She earned a BS in Biology from Marian University (Indianapolis) and an MS in Microbiology and Immunology from Indiana University (IUPUI), where she worked in the lab of Dr. William J. Sullivan. Outside of the lab she enjoys spending time with family, baking, and hiking.

 

Devon McCourry - PhD Student

Devon joined Indiana University as a PhD student in the fall of 2022 and joined the Cornett lab as a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology student in the summer of 2023. She earned a BS in Genetics and a BS in Zoology from Texas A&M University. She then worked in a genetic testing lab at Natera, where she enjoyed her time in leadership. In her free time she enjoys running half marathons, swimming, drawing, and backpacking.
